UK Military Aircrew are eligible to access certain exemptions for obtaining a PPL or NPPL.



From March 2025, CAA have revised their accreditation scheme to make a private licence more accessible for military pilots.

As a QMP who has no civilian qualifications, but has 100+ hours experience then you require to

• Pass Air Law and Aircraft General Knowledge theory exams
• Satisfactorily demonstrate all elements of the relevant syallbus
• Successfully complete the relevant skills test with an Examiner


You must apply to the CAA to register as a qualified Military Pilot (QMP) to gain these credits by completing form SRG 2133.
